| Travel to the Area |
| Several international carriers service the Manzanillo Playa De Oro airport located about 25 minutes south of Barra de Navidad/Melaque and about 35 minutes north of Manzanillo. If you don't find a flight that suits you into Manzanillo the Costalegre is also accessable from the International airports located in Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara, both about 4 hours travel by highway. |
| There are several bus lines that run between the local towns as well as to and from places outside the Costalegre. The Primera, First and Second class buses are all air conditioned with comfortable reclining seats. The smaller in and around town service buses are not air conditioned but the trips on those buses are not longer than 1/2 an hour. |
| Rental cars are available in Barra de Navidad, Manzanillo and at the airport. There are taxi stands at the airport and in all of the major towns in the area. The Costalegre area is accessible by car from the north, south and east through Guadalajara on highways 80 and 110 and from the north and south on highway 200. |
