Aero California
This airline was closed for a few months in 2006/2007 but they are flying again and have resumed their service between Tijuana (TIJ) and Colima Airport (CLQ) and Tijuana (TIJ) and Guadalajara (GDL). They have not however, as of September 28, 2007, resumed their service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Manzanillo (ZLO).
Aeromar
Houston (IAH) direct to Mexico City (MEX) with same day connections to Manzanillo (ZLO). Aeromar also offer morning, afternoon and evening flights between Mexico City (MEX) and Manzanillo (ZLO). Their air service between Mexico City and Manzanillo is turbo prop not jet engine.
Aeromexico
Aeromexico offer service from a number of international and domestic destinations with morning, afternoon and evening connections to Manzanillo (ZLO) through Mexico (MEX) as an Aeromar code share.
Alaska Airlines
Los Angeles (LAX) direct to Manzanillo (ZLO) connecting with all Canadian and American cities served by Alaska or Horizon airlines. Alaska also offer direct service into Puerto Vallarta (PVR) from Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO) and Seattle (SEA) and direct red eye service (12:33 am to 5:50 am) from Los Angeles (LAX) to Guadalajara (GDL).
American Airlines
No service into Manzanillo (ZLO) but they do have direct service to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) from Chicago O'Hare (ORD) and Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW). They also have direct flights to Guadalajara (GDL) from Chicago O'Hare (ORD), Dallas/FT. Worth (DFW), Los Vegas (LOS), Los Angeles (LAX), Oakland (OAK), Portland (PDX), Sacramento (SMF), San Francisco (SFO), and San Jose (SJC) with many connections from other cities.
America West / US Airways
This airline offers seasonal service starting December 2007 from Phoenix (PHX) direct and Los Angeles (LAX) through PHX to Manzanillo (ZLO). They also offer year-round service direct from Phoenix (PHX) and from Los Angeles (LAX) through PHX to Puerto Vallarta (PVR).
America Trans Air - ATA
This airline offers direct service between Chicago Midway (MDW) and Guadalajara (GDL) six days a week.
Continental Airlines
Offering direct flights between Houston (IAH) and Mananillo (ZLO), Guadalajara (GDL) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR).
Delta Airlines
Direct service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Manzanillo (ZLO), Guadalajara (GDL) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR). Note: Some service to and from Puerto Vallarta routes through Guadalajara.
Frontier Airlines
Offering direct service between both Guadalajara (GDL) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR) and Denver (DEN). Also have service between Kansas City MO (MCI) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR) and Kansas City and Guadalajara (GDL) through Denver.
MagniCharters
Magni have Charters in their name but they operate direct scheduled flights between Mexico (MEX) and Manzanillo (ZLO) Mon. Wed. Fri. and Sat. They also offer daily direct service between Mexico City (MEX) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR) as well as other vacation destinations in Mexico. MagniCharters fly jets with 100% executive seating and their fares are roughly half of the regular fares charged by Aeromar and Aeromexico. The drawback for foreign travellers is that tickets are not available on line and can only be purchased at MagniCharter offices or at Travel Agencies in the Republic of Mexico.
Mexicana Airlines
A new look to their web site and a new service provider into Manzanillo. No longer code sharing with Aeromar for their Manzanillo service Mexicana now offer direct service to and from Manzanillo (ZLO) routing through Mexico (MEX) on Fokker 100 jet aircraft operated by Aerovias Caribe S.A. These flights connect with Mexicana flights from Canada, the USA, Latin America, Europe and Japan. Their new Super Saver fare can be extremely competetive with MagniCharter. First person to show up at the Sea to Sierra office with their ticket and say "I just flew in on the Fokker" three times without laughing gets a free beer on me.
Northwest Airlines
Offering seasonal service between Minneapolis St. Paul (MSP) and other starting points and Manzanillo through Houston (IAH) starting in November 2007.
United Airlines
No service into Manzanillo but they do have direct service to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) from Denver (DEN) and San Francisco (SFO).
Volaris
This airline offer direct service between Tijuana (TIJ) and Guadalajara (GDL).
WestJet
This Canadian airline have received permission from the authorities to offer direct scheduled service from Canada to Mexican destinations including Manzanillo (ZLO) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR). At last update to the page they have not initiated such service. When contacted West Jet responded that they have not yet determind if they will be offering this service and to check their web site for departure cities and destinations available.
