Our first-hand information about the towns and villages in the Manzanillo / Costalegre area (we don't write about places we have not visited more than once) and the surrounding Sierra Madre may be of interest to you even if you are not interested in one of our Adventure, Fishing or Cultural Tours. Places & Accommodations

Visit the metropolitan port city of Manzanillo, now the largest port in Mexico. Explore Colima and Comala where you will find enchanting examples of pre-hispanic, colonial and modern architecture only an hour from Manzanillo. Discover Talpa de Allende and Mascota high in the mountains. Escape to Vida del Mar, Mayto, Tehuamixtle or Corales on rustic and remote Cabo Corrientes. Relax in the beach towns of Barra de Navidad, Melaque, La Manzanilla and Boca de Iguanas. Enjoy the pristine beaches, sparkling waters and live coral reef at Tenacatita. Marvel at the petroglyphs of La Concha. Meet the local ladies of the Cuzalapa organic coffee and embroidery co-operatives who've turned their 100-year old coffee trees, sewing and embroidery skills into an enterprise that helps to sustain their tiny semi-indigenous community in the spectacular Sierra Manantlan Biosphere Reserve.

Airline schedules to Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta airports and bus schedules were updated in fall 2006. We keep the information as up-to-date as we can and are working on new schedules now. More Manzanillo, Costalegre and Colima Area Information

Several sites provide good information about the Manzanillo and Costalegre area. Unfortunately many sites that sell advertising have only paid listings or don't provide links to the sites of non-paying clients so will not be complete. This means that that they may not have the information you are looking for, but they often come up first in searches. If you use specific and detailed key words and keep looking you will find what you are looking for. Almost all of the Hotels, Posadas, Bungalows, B & B's, condo's and houses for rent in the Costalegre and Manzanillo area offering clean, quality accommodation, and many of the restaurants have their own web sites. We are working on providing, by town, free links to all of them but we are not there yet.
