Difficulty: low
Starting from Barra de Navidad we bike ride down to the water taxi dock in Barra de Navidad where we board the panga for the trip across the lagoon. Arriving in Colimilla we mount the bikes and make the short steep climb up the hill, it is about 2 blocks and you can walk it if you want to. Then the route is down hill through the golf course and over to Playa de Cocos.
Once we arrive at Playa de Cocos we can ride on the flat straight secondary highway or the sometimes intact sand track that runs closer to the beach. The ocean at Playa de Cocos is too rough for swimming but we can stop off at Coco Cabanas for a refreshment if you want to. The flat straight road provides a great opportunity to generate some wind by riding fast. The trip offers opportunity to see birds, sand dunes and lot's of new construction.
The tour ends back at Barra de Navidad but you are welcome to end the tour in the quaint village of Colimilla on the edge of the lagoon or at the luxurious, very picturesque and air conditioned Isla Navidad Golf Course Club House and we will get the bikes back to Barra de Navidad for you. There is also an optional bush whacking return through a trail around the back of Laguna de Navidad.
