Rancho to Barra Tour (with optional return)
This three to four hour horse riding tour is popular with many of our more experienced riders but is also suitable for anyone who wants a longer ride. One thing to note this is the only of our horse tours where you need to cross the highway. If you are at all nervous about this we invite you to book another of our rides that does not involve riding or crossing any paved roads where there may be vehicle traffic.
This horse tour can be reserved for any day of the week.
Rancho to Barra Tour (with optional return)
Price and Details
On this trip you will ride from the rancho in the hills behing Jaluco where the horses live north of Manzanillo and near Barra de Navidad and Melaque to Barra de Navidad. The ride takes you along shady back roads to the back of laguna de Navidad. Scenery varies from jungle to grassland and brush. The area along much of the route as well as the land at the back of the lagoon are natural havens for a wide variety of bird life so this tour provides a marvelous opportunity for bird watching from horseback. Note: If your interest runs to birding it's best to leave on this tour at first light.
COST: as a two to two and a half one way tour the cost is $750 pesos per person which includes transport back to down town Barra de Navidad.
You may also choose to make it a return trip and ride back to the ranch and make this a four to five hour ride for $900 pesos per person.
