| Horse crazy Nan, owner of Sea to Sierra Outdoor Adventures, and our wrangler, English speaking local Aguacate jinete (horseman) Horacio, have worked hard to put together a group of well fed - they get grain every day - well loved, well groomed and well trained yet spirited horses for your riding pleasure. |

| Our tack is a cut above what is normally found when horseback riding in Mexico. We offer light weight north american style leather or synthetic western saddles in various sizes including one small and one medium sized pony saddle for the kiddies. At the request of our clients for the 2009/10 season we have added a dressage saddle, an all purpose English saddle and two hybrid type saddles; a hornless Australian saddle with english style stirrups and a hornless buena vista saddle with english style stirrups. The buena vista saddle is extremely comfortable, well padded and high cantled and is modeled on the saddles used by plantation overseers who spent all day on horseback in the old south - this one is Horacio's favorite but he will give it up when asked to. Our horses are all trained to neck rein at present but we do have two quality leather English bridles with reins and we also have quality leather, cloth and silk rope western style head stalls with loose or barrel racing reins. Our clients tell us that our tack makes a nice change from the wooden saddles and rough reins normally used in the area and the horses agree. This means that we can offer you the very best ecologically friendly, informative and comfortable adventure tours available on horseback in the Costalegre and Manzanillo region. |

Our horse riding tours are not a boring plod along the beach or down country roads. Our well trained, responsive and lively horses love to get out of the paddock and go for an interesting and fun ride through the local communities, countrside, beach and the hills in the Barra de Navidad, Isla Navidad, Melaque and La Manzanilla area of Jalisco just north of Manzanillo, Colima.

We do everything in our power to make your ride as comfortable as possible including lengthening and shortening the stirrups, fitting you with the right sized saddle for you and your mount, and choosing a mount that is suited to your experience and capabilities. We want you to have fun on your ride. When you reserve we will ask your height, weight and level of riding experience. If you'd like an English saddle or one of our other non-western saddles please let us know when you reserve.
